On December 27, 2013, at approximately 9:28 a.m., the City of Manassas Park Police Department received a 911 call about a male subject laying, on the street, in the 9400 block of Robin Lee Court. When police officers arrived on the scene, they discovered Michael Cole deceased near his residence. It was determined his death was a homicide. Neighbors, in the area, advised they heard gunshots in the early morning hours. City of Manassas Park Police Department Detectives continue working on leads with the assistance of federal and state law enforcement agencies. During the investigation, several pieces of evidence have
been recovered and countless interviews of family members, friends of Michael Cole, and possible witnesses have been conducted. Detectives believe the suspect or suspects, involved in the death of Michael Cole, live in Virginia or have family in the area. Manassas Park Police Department received multiple tips and investigated each one. Some of the tips provided information that furthered the investigation while others were determined unreliable.
Although the Investigation continues, Michael Cole’s homicide remains unsolved. The City of Manassas Park Police Department is asking for the communities help. The smallest piece of information whether you think it is relevant or not, may help investigators solve this case and bring closure to the Cole family. Citizens of the surrounding counties are, also, asked to remember back to December 27, 2013. The Manassas City/City of Manassas Park Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case. In addition to Crime Solvers, the family of Michael Cole is offering a cash reward of up to $15,000 for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case. Michael Cole leaves behind 2 small children, his parents, and sister.
