On March 18, 2016, after receiving information and assistance from the Virginia State Police, Manassas Park Police Detectives were able to identify a suspect, in this case, and filed the below listed criminal charges:
Christopher Daniel Campbell ( 28 Years of Age)
100 Block Yost Street
Manassas Park, Virginia
Charge #1: Discharge Firearm Public Place
Charge #2: Animal Cruelty
Court Date: May 5, 2016
Christopher Campbell, is currently a Virginia State Police Trooper assigned to the Fairfax Division.
On March 8, 2016, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Manassas Park Emergency Communications Center received calls of gunshots in the area of 111 Runyon Court. Officers responded and found a tan colored, Pitbull suffering from a single gunshot wound. The dog was rushed to an emergency animal hospital where is succumbed to its injuries. Two suspects were seen running from the area and are described as follows:
- White male with blond hair, thin build, wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and a baseball hat.
- White or Hispanic male with brown hair, heavy set, wearing a black hoodie, and grey basketball style shorts.
Anyone with information is asked to call 703-361-1136. There is up to a $1,000.00 reward being offered for information leading to the arrest of these suspects.
