Larcenies from unlocked motor vehicles are crimes of opportunity. Residents are encouraged to lock their vehicles at all times. Residents should always remove valuables from plain view and utilize their glove box, center console, or trunk area to secure items and never leave their keys and firearms in the vehicles.
